JAMB Change of Course or Institution

JAMB change of course is done when your JAMB score is not up to the cutoff mark of the department you chose (selected) while registering JAMB. For instance, you selected Medicine and Surgery as your proffered course and maybe you scored very low, let’s say 182 in your JAMB, and the Department cut 200 and above, you have to do change of course to a lower department, if really you want to get admission that year.

You can as well do Change of Course when you put a lesser course and you scored very high and wishes to take or study or even go for higher department. For instance, let’s say you initially selected or chose Plant Science and you scored 310 in JAMB, you may wish to change your course to Medicine and Surgery.

JAMB Change of Institution is done when you did not meet up with your selected institution cutoff mark. Let assume you scored 180 and you chose institution that selects students that selects candidates that scored 200 and above, thereby being denied of Post UTME. If you really wants to be admitted, kindly do JAMB Change of Institution to a new institution that cuts 180 and above.

Can someone that had gotten Admission still do Change of Course or Institution

Yes, you may be asked to do Change of Course if the department or course given to you was not the course you originally selected or chose while registering your JAMB. You will be required to change to the new department given to you from the one you chose before. For instance, you chose Medicine and Surgery and you were admitted into the Department of Biochemistry, you will be asked to do Change of Course from Medicine and Surgery to Biochemistry.

Correction of JAMB Error Details: Date of Birth, Name, State, LGA, Sex (Gender) and others

You can correct error details like date of birth, name, state, LGA, sex or gender and others you made while registering JAMB. For instance, if there is disarrangement of name which did not match with your O’Level, you have to change it, if there is error in your state or origin or LGA, you can still change it, like wise gender or sex, maybe you are a female and male was used for you, you can still change it.

The stipulated amount for any change at all you wish to do or correct in your JAMB profile is N2,500 (Two Thousand Five Hundred Naira). You must make the payment before you can make any changes or correct any detail.

How to do JAMB Change of Course/Institution, Date of Birth, Sex, Name, State, LGA and other Error Details

• Kindly visit www.jamb.org.ng
• Login using your Email address and password
• Click on Correction of Data if your year of examination has passed or you Click on Registration (2019 only) i.e. the current year if the year has not passed.
• Click on the particular thing you want to change either course/institution, state/LGA of origin, Name or Gender etc.
• Make the payment of N2,500 using your ATM card or you pay in the bank.
• Make the correction where appropriate
• Submit and download the PDF document
• Print it out – Then Click Here to check back your Admission status
