Learning and Development Specialist at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDC): Apply here- This is to inform the general public about on going application at Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDC). Eko Electricity Distribution Plc (EKEDC) is widely regarded as the flagship of Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI). In March 2005, the Energy Power Sector Reform Act (EPSRA) came into force leading to the cessation of the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA). Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution which were together under NEPA were separated into different business operations in the sector.

In the distribution line, 11 companies (including Eko Disco) emerged, with licenses to distribute electricity to consumers. However, these companies were under the umbrella of the Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) which was later unbundled in 2013 when power generation and distribution were further privatised giving investors more or total ownership.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist
Location: Lagos

Job Description
- Liaise with external trainings institutions/service providers e.g. training institutions.
- Review training proposal from professional external training vendors.
- Work with identified internal faculties to develop training manuals/curriculum to be used for training session.
- Provide training matrix/plan for company–wide staff including HSE training and evaluation of effectiveness of training
- Communicate L&D programs, objectives & purposes to employees & management.
- Manage the training delivery and conduct post-training assessments (i.e. via feedbacks, questionnaires & discussions with supervisors) & providing recommendations for improvement.
- Develop a systematic on-the-job training and take ownership of providing guidance to new employees by the mentor/mentee program.
Requirements
- B.Sc (minimum of Second class lower) in Social Science or other related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years cognate experience in a similar role & organization out of which 2 years must have been spent at a supervisory level.
- Professional certification in Human resources e.g. Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), CIPD, SHRM or HRCI.
