Japanese Government MEXT Scholarship Application Form 2020/2021 – There is an ongoing scholarship application form by Japanese Government MEXT for all Nigerians who are interested and qualified to apply using the application steps and guidelines. SEE FULL DETAILS BELOW

Categories of Positions for Japanese Scholarship

1. Research Students:
   Postgraduates students who wish to conduct research in Japan for PhD/Masters’s degrees and courses, or who are conducting research in an undergraduate department, etc. Applicants generally must have been born on or after April 2, 1986 (Under 35 years of age)
2. Undergraduates Students:
   Students who wish to continue their studies in Japanese Universities for an undergraduate degree. Applicants generally must have been born on or after April 2, 1996.
3. College of Technology:
   For Students who wish to study in Japan at College of Technology, Mechanical/Electronic etc. Applicants generally must have been born on or after April 2, 1996.
4. Specialized Training:
   Students who wish to study in Japan as a student at a Specialized training College, Technology, Business, Fashion, Culture, etc. Applicants generally must have been born on or after April 2, 1996.

The Embassy of Japan is pleased to inform you that the Government of Japan will provide scholarships for Primary/Secondary school teachers who desire to take teacher training courses and Japanese language training in Japan.

The scholarship is open to graduates of universities and teachers training colleges no more than thirty-four (34) years of age who have worked as teachers at primary/secondary schools or teacher training college for at least five years in their home countries at the time of application.

Beneficiaries shall upon their return, help to promote Japanese Language education in Nigeria.
