NYSC Orientation Camps Reopens: PTF announces possible date | BasedOnNews
NYSC Orientation Camp Reopening Date by PTF – Are you a Prospective Corps Member and you wish to know when you would be leaving for service? Do want to know the date for NYSC orientation camp for Batch A stream 2? It is indeed a good news since the lockdown to all prospective corps members as the Presidential Task Force (PTF) has aired out when NYSC orientation camp would open. This information was made known to us via Sani Aliyu, national coordinator of the PTF, during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday.
Recall, NYSC orientation camp was suspended temporarily on March 18, 2020 during Batch A Stream One camping. It was done as a way to curtail the spread of coronavirus across the members and the country at large.
Sani Aliyu, National Coordinator of the PTF has also mandated the management of NYSC to start preparing for possible resumption of orientation in the country. See how he said it below;
“We have advised NYSC to start planning ahead of resumption in future phases, but not within this current phase of the response,” he said.
“We will work closely with them to design policies that may allow this to happen in the future.”

When will NYSC Orientation Camp be opened for PCMs?
As a result of the extended lockdown for another four weeks, PTF said that NYSC orientation camp would open after the extended four weeks of eased lockdown in the country.
Possibly, by September 7th, 2020, NYSC orientation camp may reopen
People that can go to NYSC orientation camp after lockdown
NYSC orientation camp is for all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) who has already registered online and awaits their call up letter. That is NYSC Batch A Stream 2.

What of NYSC Batch A Stream 1 that did not complete their stay in the camp?
To avoid crowd in the orientation camp, possibly Stream 1 of Batch A may go back to camp unless if the management wants them to complete their training but that will not exceed one week.
Remember, corpers stay in the orientation camp is three weeks.
