Private School Teachers CBN COVID-19 N100Billion Loan – The Federal Government (FG) of Nigeria has given updates on COVID-19 Loan for Private school teachers’ intervention fund. Over the shutdown of schools for some months now due to coronavirus pandemic, the Federal Government of Nigeria has released an intervention fund of N100 billion for Private School Teachers.

This was disclosed and made known to the general public by Emeka Nwajiuba, the Minister of State for Education. He publicized this vital information during the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 daily briefing in Abuja, on Monday.

He assured that federal government will ensure proper engagement with private school teachers to access the N100 billion from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN.

“We have forwarded the requests that they made to the CBN and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment, because for us, they are part of the provision the Federal Government has made in relation to SMEs.

“They are the intellectual powerbase of the country,” Nwajiuba said.

This loan or fund intervention will be of great help to all private school teachers who might have found it difficult to survive especially this period of pandemic.

Requirements to apply for COVID-19 Loan for Private school teachers 2020/2021

  • Applicant must be a Nigerian
  • He/she must be a Teacher in any school in Nigeria
  • He/she must have any Government Identity Card such as; National ID card, Permanent Voters Card, Drivers License, International Passport etc.
  • He/she must have the school ID card as a means to confirm that he/she is a teacher
  • He/she must have plan on what he wants to use the money for.
