Few days ago, the Honorable Minister of Humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Umar Farouq confirm that Mr. President has ordered that she immediately pay the March 2020 Stipends of NPower Volunteers.
However, Some NPower Volunteers are running out of patient as the immediately payment order is not as immediate as expected.
Mr Afolabi in his last Facebook video chat discussed why Npower stipends payment get delayed sometimes even when payment has been effected, he said there are two parameter involves in NPower payment process, the first is that payment of volunteers are not done through a third party, it is done directly. Secondly, payment of NPower beneficiaries pass through administrative procedure carefully to safeguard NPower volunteers from identity theft. Also, Nancy Illoh on her TV show “MONEYLINE with Nancy” on AIT reacted to Npower volunteers march payment situation and promise to convey volunteers message to the Minister of humanitarian affairs. According to her, she is not trying to defend the Ministry of humanitarian affairs but she know that the NPower programme has moved to the Ministry and they are working on Npower volunteers march stipends payment.
Her reaction to the NPower stipends payment came as a result to a question an Npower volunteer sent to her on her show. So she read the question and reacted as stated above.
