NYSC Batch B is speculated to start by May, 2024 but the reasons outlined here would make it not to take place;
ASUU and NASU Strike which affects Mobilization and Submission of Students Credentials
It is generally observable that ASUU has been on strike for the past four months now and NASU joined the strike which has affected graduated students in doing their clearance. Moreover, students’ data of those that have done their clearance have not been submitted for upload on NYSC portal due to the ongoing NASU strike.

School mobilization is necessary to propel graduated students for service. Since most persons have not done their mobilization, it might delay registration. NYSC wish to give grace to those students concerned to see if officials will reconsider and call off the strike.
Will Strike affect NYSC Mobilization and Registration?
Strike is not supposed to affect NYSC registration as NYSC and NASU or ASUU are different bodies. Though, NYSC needs NASU to function well as regards to obtaining students details.
The only way strike will affect is if NYSC have not gotten the quota for each batch to avoid NYSC camp looking scanty. This would make NYSC to reconsider PCMs and delay the registration for a while.
Students Complaints to NYSC officials via Social Media Platforms
Lots of students have been complaining on NYSC social platforms; Twitter, Facebook, Telegram and offices pleading for the registration to be shifted to see if NASU would call off the strike.
It seems NYSC officials have given them a listening ear thereby postponing online registration to a new date.
Change of NYSC Director General (DG)
NYSC DG may be changed to a new one and NYSC would want to do the inauguration before commencing or opening portal for NYSC Batch B registration.
