Job Description

• The Procurement Manager and Procurement Officer will manage the company’s supply of products and services.
• As a sourcing manager, you will be responsible for handling the company’s end to end sourcing operations.
• The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company’s spending supplying and partnership.

General Responsibilities

• Devise and use fruitful sourcing strategies.
• Discover profitable suppliers and initiate business and organization partnership.
• Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms.
• Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.
• Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries.
• Examine and test existing contracts.
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
• Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specification and expectations of the company.
• Perform risk management for supply contract and agreement.
• Control spending and build a culture of long-terms saving on procurement cost.

General Qualifications

The preferred candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• HND or First Degree or its equivalent in Purchasing and Supply Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Marketing.
• Minimum of 8 years post qualification working experience in a similar role, 5 years of which must be at a senior level.
• A professional qualification in a related field will be an added advantage.
• Proven working experience as a procurement manager, procurement of head of procurement.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.
• Good knowledge of supply.
• Aptitude in decision making and working with numbers.
• Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
• Strong leadership capabilities.
• Deep knowledge of the construction & engineering industry.
• Sound understanding of business processes and functions.
• Team building and proven management experience within the civil engineering industry.
• Superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
