Ander Herrera leaves Manchester United for PSG – It was confirmed today that Ander Herrera of Manchester United has left the club. He explained his reasons for leaving and also paid tribute to the club supporters. It is painful but there is a great replacement for him.
As soon as his contract expires on June 30 which completes his 5 years in Man United, he will sign for Paris Saint Germain (PSG). Therefore, Ander Herrera (21) moves to PSG by next season.
Read as he expresses his sadness towards his leaving this morning;
“This is a sad moment to be honest, because I’ve enjoyed the past five years with this club,” said Herrera.
“I want to thank the fans for all they have done for me. I will never forget the way I have been treated by the fans, whether I’ve been playing or whether I’ve been somewhere else. As soon as you give everything for the club, they will support you and love you and I’ve found that.”
“It’s not an easy decision but sometimes in life you have to take decisions. Sometimes the timing is not right and you have to move on.
“When you leave such a big club, you lose much more than what they are losing. I cannot lie, I wasn’t born being a Manchester United fan, but I want you all to know that a part of my heart will always be a Red Devil.”

When asked for his favourite moments as a United player, Herrera picked out the two wins he’d enjoyed at Liverpool, as well as the Europa League, FA Cup and League Cup victories.
He also admitted he would keep in touch with teammates, including his “Spanish friends” David De Gea and Juan Mata with whom he has formed a close bond at United.
“I have experienced things in this club that I haven’t felt before and haven’t seen in other places,” added Herrera.
“This club is special because (of) all the people who work for this club and are part of this history. It’s different. I don’t want to compare but when you’re a Manchester United player, you’re a Manchester United player for life.
“Of course I will keep in touch with friends. I have a lot to thank for the managers that I’ve had here, they’ve made me a better person and a better player.”
Herrera is expected to feature at Old Trafford tomorrow (Sunday) as United play their final game of the season against Cardiff City.
And he admitted it will be a tough and emotional occasion as he, along with Antonio Valencia , bid farewell to the Old Trafford supporters.
“Yes of course it will, it’s going to be tough because I’m not going to keep playing for them next season. All that I have left with them is the special connection with them.
“I leave very proud, I leave very calm with myself because I’ve given everything.”
