CBN Portal to Deposit Old Naira Notes | www.crs.cbn.gov.ng – The Central Bank of Naira (CBN) through the Governor, Dr. Emiefele has released portal for all citizens that are still in possession of old Naira notes (N500 and N1000) to fill the portal and deposit their money in any commercial bank. The steps to fill your details and deposit your old Naira notes are all provided in this article.

On the portal, which is on cbn.gov.ng, depositors are required to fill in their Bank Verification Numver (BVN), phone number, email address, bank details, address, the amount to be deposited as well as the denominations to be deposited, after which a reference number is generated.

The highest amount you can deposit in any commercial bank is N500,000 but any amount more than that, you would need to visit CBN office for the deposit.

The new closing date for depositing old Naira notes is February 24, 2023.
