COVID-19: New Order to Civil Servants by Federal Government – The second wave of Coronavirus in Nigeria has resulted to so many things. As a way to curtail the spread of the virus across the nation, new measures has been taken by Federal Government. Today, new order has been given to Civil Servants as a way to help in preventing the spread of the virus.

So many organizations and places has been banned or asked to close down pending when new order is issued. On Tuesday, the Federal Government gave new orders to civil servants from Grade Level 12 below.
The fresh order given to Civil Servants by Federal Government is for them to stay at home. Civil servants will remain at home for five weeks because of the second wave of Covid-19 in the country.
This information was made known to us through Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, HOCSF.
According to him, the decisions were not taken to punish citizens but due rate of increase cases of confirmed coronavirus disease in the country.
See as the circular reads; “Following Mr President’s approval of recommendations of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, in the light of the second wave of the infection in Nigeria, officers on grade level 12 and below are hereby, directed to stay at home for a period of five weeks, effective from Wednesday Dec. 23 and await further directive,” the HOS said.
The HoS said that the measure became imperative to streamline the number of officers who come to work daily.
She said those affected by the directive are expected to work from home, while officers on grade level 13 and above are to adhere to preventive measures.
