The update from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) is that the INEC recruitment exercise was suspended a month ago due to covid-19 and therefore the Commissioner has warned the public against the so called appointment letter or appointment letter circulating online right now which he called, fake.

SCAM ALERT! The attention of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has been drawn to the circulation of purported letters of employment/ appointment allegedly emanating from the Commission. Members of the public are hereby advised/warned that the Commission suspended its recruitment programme in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Members of the public should disregard rumours of any form of employment/recruitment and treat recruitment/employment letters purportedly emanating from the Commission as a scam and report to the security agencies.

Now, you’ve seen it yourself, don’t pay any money no matter the amount to anyone claiming to be INEC Representative as everything regarding to the recruitment exercise has been suspended and further updates will be given to the public in due time.
