We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Workshop Manager
Locations: Lagos and Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Maintain and manage a daily record of repairs and services of vehicles undertaken and completed.
- Responsible for job allocation and job flow in the workshop including job scheduling and labour allocation for day-to-day operations.
- Ensure compliance of rules and regulations by the workshop team
- Ensure work tools are adequately taken care of
- Manage inward Auto parts, check the quantities and process invoice/receipts.
- Regularly report progress on each job and quickly communicate delays or concerns with the Head of operations
- Provide regular updates on the status of their jobs and keep the communication channels open to ensure accurate information.
- Ensure adequate maintenance of tools, equipment and other materials in the service area.
- Identify technicians that require on-going training and implement training opportunities to ensure their skills are improved.
- Provide feedback to staff that are not performing to the expected level and ensure the human resources department is informed about trends in performance.
- Promote a Healthy and safety culture within the Business.
- Review service orders and inspect the quality of technicians’ repairs before the release of vehicles
- Review work orders to ensure that all actions have been documented according to service workshop policies and procedures.
- Oversee post-repair services such as test-driving, vehicle delivery and other services as may be required.
- Oversee the inspection of vehicles before and after repairs in order to identify faulty components and ensure complete fixing.
- Monitor and follow up on Auto-part orders with the parts Manager to ensure availability.
Minimum Qualification
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND / Master’s Degree qualification with at least 4 years work experience.
- Ability to Organize, Coordinate and Supervise people to achieve a common objective;
- Technically competent and ability to train others;
- General knowledge of Service and Repair ;
- Customers Oriented with high integrity;
- Good Communication and Interpersonal Skills;
- A Team Player with Leadership Role
- A good Planner to maintain a healthy work flow
- Knowledge of maintenance of tools and equipment
- Ability to give detailed reports of his Departmental Activities
- Ability to evaluate performance and appraise team members
- A Policy maker, ensuring that all Services and Repairs processes are dully
- followed
- Must be safety conscious to ensure accident free operation
- Ability to Identify the Skills and Competence of team members to ensure correct jobs allocation and high quality Services.
Salary
N200,000 / month.
