About NITDA Academy

The NITDA Academy, under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy, is a free capacity building aimed at preparing young people for work, develop their skills and respond to the labour market needs.

In response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) through its NITDA Academy for Research and Training (NART) initiates the Learning Never Stop Programme. In our commitment to help our key stakeholders (Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs), students and Nigerian Citizens, we are leveraging on technology through the collaboration of our partners such as CISCO Systems Incorporated, Huawei Technologies and others that are preparing to join this partnership for massive training of our people who are currently adjusting to the new realities.

The Aim of NITDA Training

NITDA seeks to apply effective and sustainable solutions to build capacity and develop skills of Nigerians in emerging IT sectors and drastically reduce the unemployment rate in the IT Sector by bridging the widening skills gap in the sector. The Agency through its academy has developed a vocational training program with newly formed curriculums. The IT Vocational training will play a central role in preparing young people for work, develop their skills, and respond to the labour-market’s need.
