NUC directs all Universities to Stop Academic Activities due to Covid-19 – As a way to curtail the spread of the virus, coronavirus, The National Universities Commission (NUC) orders Vice Chancellors of all Universities to stop every academic activities due to the spreading Covid-19 cases.

Life as we all know is more than wealth. It is someone that is alive that thinks of education. Once the virus is controlled to the minimal level, everything will come back to normal

University is an institution that is always overpopulated. If such population contracts the virus, it means every family will partake in it.

Covid-19 Second Wave Shutdown 2021: How it affects School Resumptions and NYSC Orientation Camps

This circular on NUC ordering Vice Chancellors of Universities to stop academic activities due to increasing Covid-19 cases was signed by the Deputy Executive Secretary (Administration), Chris Maiyaki.

According to circular, all classrooms, hostel accommodation, conferences and seminars are to be put on hold.

This implies that all Universities will remain closed pending when new instruction is been given to them.

See as the circular reads;

“Vice-Chancellors are to please note that the directive is part of the measures approved by Mr. President to mitigate the second wave of Coronavirus infections in the country.

“The affected officers are expected to perform their duties from home while those on GL 13 and above should strictly adhere to the extant preventive measures”, he said.

On December 22, the federal government ordered civil servants on GL 12 and below to stay at home for five weeks.

Everything will come back when the situation at hand is controlled. Taking it up from this aspect of festive period, possibility of people contracting the virus is very high but it will be higher if such population meets in different organization and associates with those that are free. The spread will be optimal.
