We are recruiting to fill the following positions below:
1.) Payroll Analyst
Job Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Purpose Statement
- The Payroll Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees.
- The role involves managing various aspects of payroll administration, compliance with local regulations, and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing:
- Collect and process data related to employee work hours, leave, bonuses, and other payroll-related inputs.
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws in Nigeria.
- Collaborate with HR to update employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in employment status.
Compliance:
- Stay updated on changes in local tax laws, labor regulations, and other statutory requirements related to payroll.
- Ensure payroll processes adhere to legal and regulatory standards in Nigeria.
- Prepare and submit required payroll-related reports to government agencies.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and areas for improvement.
- Generate reports for management to support decision-making and strategic planning.
Communication and Support:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to address and resolve payroll-related discrepancies.
System Maintenance:
- Utilize and maintain payroll software to facilitate accurate and efficient processing.
- Assist in the implementation and upgrading of payroll systems.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Proven experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in a similar industry or organization.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in using payroll software and Microsoft Office applications.

2.) Talent Acquisition Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Strategy:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to meet the organization’s talent needs.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand job requirements and create job descriptions.
Candidate Sourcing:
- Utilize various channels (job boards, social media, professional networks) to source qualified candidates.
- Build and maintain a network of potential candidates.
Selection and Screening:
- Conduct initial resume screening and shortlisting of candidates.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, assessments, and other selection processes.
Employer Branding:
- Work on enhancing Sahara Group’s employer brand in the talent market.

Onboarding Support:

Minimum Qualifications / Experience

3.) Legal Manager

Job Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Job Schedule: Full time
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and guidance to the various companies within the Sahara Group in order to safeguard the businesses from exposure to legal and compliance risks.
- Ensure the legal department and the various operation companies and stakeholders are updated on applicable legal and regulatory requirements by providing support and advice on laws, regulations, and rules.
- Review, draft and negotiate medium to high risk commercial agreements with minimal supervision.
- Provide in-depth detailed research on various legal issues.
- Attend meetings with external stakeholders of the organization including public/regulatory bodies.
- Engage and work closely with external legal counsel when required.
- Provide litigation support to external legal counsel and assist with management oversight of external legal counsel.
- Provide support on assignments or take the lead on assignments as required.
Minimum Qualifications / Experience
- Law Degree from a commonwealth jurisdiction.
- At least 8 years of post call experience, 5 of which must be in an Energy focused law firm or company.
- Completion of NYSC is mandatory.
- Qualified to practice Law in Nigeria (i.e. BL).
- Geographical mobility within and outside Nigeria where necessary.
Knowledge / Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian laws and regulations, corporate commercial law as well as regulatory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards related to the Energy Sector (oil & gas and power), construction & infrastructure.
- Ability to work as part of a team and with both internal and external stakeholders with diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
- Strong IT Skills, including proficiency with Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to apply commercial solutions to legal problems.
- Experience in working with regulators.

- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen attention to detail
