Start your search early! You shouldn’t like the other students wait till the time before you start searching. Be sure to submit your IT letters to various firms in Advance.

Some Companies that allow IT, give out spaces on `First Come, First Served` Basis. You might just want to be among the First’s.

• Be Promiscuous in your search.

Yeah!  Don’t submit IT letters to just one Company. Get as much SIWES/IT letters from your School’s SIWES coordinator and submit to various firms. That would boost your chances.

• Go for Firms that are Related to your Course.

Many times, students leave firms that are directly related to their course of study and delve into Oil and gas companies.  That’s not a right thing.

In your search, fix your attention on Firms that are Adjacent to your Course of study..  There would be better opportunities there.
