Steps on How to Register for NYSC National Health Insurance Scheme Enrollment 2018/2019 (NHIS) – This post is majorly to notify all NYSC Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) that they can now register for the ongoing 2018 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Enrollment.

All NYSC Prospective Corps Members, once you’ve been posted or deployed to your Primary Place of Assignment (PPA), you can register for the 2018/2019 National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) Enrollment

About NYSC National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)

The Scheme established under the National Health Insurance Scheme Act, Cap N42, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004, is aimed at providing easy access to healthcare for all Nigerians at an affordable cost through various prepayment systems. NHIS is totally committed to securing universal coverage and access to adequate and affordable healthcare in order to improve the health status of Nigerians, especially for those participating in the various programmes/products of the Scheme.

The NYSC, Director General, Brig. General Suleiman Kazaure, revealed his approval to the enrollment of corps members to NHIS – National Health Insurance Scheme at his opening ceremony of the 2018 edition of the NYSC Annual Management Conference which coincides with the 45th anniversary of the scheme held in Akure.

Steps on How to Register NYSC National Health Insurance Scheme Enrollment 2018/2019

All Corps members that qualified can now create an account with NHIS and apply via the below process

• Visit  www.nhisonline.com.ng/
• Click on “New to the registration NHIS portal: Please register”  supply all the details correctly and click submit
• Login with your username and password
• You will need to fill in your NHIS number, surname, and date of birth to register an online account.

Important Notice to all

Only persons enrolled in the Formal Sector Social Health Insurance Scheme can register for a web account. To continue, please provide us with your NHIS number, surname and date of birth as printed on your NHIS card.

Will anything happen if I did not register for NYSC NHIS

The truth is that NYSC NHIS is now approved by NYSC Director General, therefore, all corps members are now mandated to register as is now part of NYSC vital programmes. Something may not happen if you did not apply or register but you need to register.

Anyway, in the camp, it will still be emphasized on for more understandability.
