Objective of FG towards initiation of Trader Moni

The aim is to ensure that traders running micro businesses, regardless of how micro, so long as you are trading, the Federal Government will support you by giving you a loan of N10,000 (growing up to N50,000) to expand your business to sustenance.

  • Walk into any of the following banks: GTB, UBA, Ecobank, UnionBank, Stanbic, Sterling, Wema, Fidelity, Heritage, Jaiz.
  • Tell the bank you would like to pay your “BOI-GEEP” loan on PayDirect.
  • The journey continues. TraderMoni enumerators can be found in market areas or trade clusters around you. Repay your loan to qualify for the higher loan.
  • Repayment isn’t a hassle or stress as one could complete her payment comfortably using the Repayment scratch card. Understanding the impact of this interest-free loan on petty traders in Nigeria is what has made the Initiative globally recognized.
