University of Toronto Engineering Scholarships to study in Canada Application Form 2022
Please note better: Applicants are considered for scholarships on the basis of academic excellence and extracurricular involvement as demonstrated in the Online Student Profile. Engineering applicants may also be considered for university-wide scholarships, for which a separate application is required.
Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering Admission Scholarships (various awards)
- Value: Variable, to a maximum of $7,500
- Process: No separate application required; students are automatically considered when they apply to U of T Engineering. A full list of Faculty admission scholarships can be found here.
- Open to International Students: Yes (to a maximum of $5,000)
Faculty of Applied Science & Engineering Admission Awards
- Value: Variable, to a maximum of $10,000
- Process: Residents of Ontario are considered for Faculty Awards on the basis of financial need and academic achievement. To be eligible for this award, students must submit the UTAPS Online Estimator no later than February 28. A full list of Faculty Admission Awards can be found here.
- Open to International Students: No
U of T Engineering International Scholarships (40 awards)
- Value: Variable, to a maximum of $25,000 x 4 years (renewable)
- Process: No separate application required; all international students are automatically considered when they apply to U of T Engineering.

U of T Engineering Entrance Scholarship for Indigenous Students
- Value: Domestic tuition plus stipend x 4 years (renewable)
- Process: This award is open to Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, Inuit) applicants. Contact indigenous@engineering.utoronto.ca by February 1, 2022.
- Open to International Students: No
Stanley Timoshek Scholarship in Engineering
- Value: Variable
- Process: This award is open to an incoming student from Poland based on outstanding achievement.

C.J. Dick & Ruth A. Sprenger Scholarship for Mature Students in Engineering
- Value: Variable
- Process: This award is open to a Canadian citizen or permanent resident entering First Year of Electrical or Computer Engineering as a full-time mature student. Preference will be given to an individual who has been out of full-time studies or has been in the workforce for a number of years. The award is renewable for years 2–4 based on academic merit.
- Candidates will be asked to submit a short essay outlining why they are applying as a mature student and what impact the award would have on their lives. Please direct applications to awards@engineering.utoronto.ca.
